Bespoke shoe

Since as long as I can remember I have always loved creating/designing things. I recently created this native shoe that was inspired by Visvim. I started of with a pair of Clarks Original wallabees. I then lined the inner shoe with sheep skin and used off white destroyed material to create an overhang around the back part of the shoe. I used plastic and wooden beads made using twigs from my back garden, and simply painted a cross on each bead to act as lace tips. Leather shoe lace was used throughout and all the materials for this shoe were either recycled or lying around my house. Only the shoe was bought!

Art Comes First

This weekend I attended the Art Comes First exhibit that was displayed at BOB (Best Of Britannia). BOB supports home-grown talent. ACF was founded by Sam Lambert and Shaka Maidoh in order to "circulate sartorial nourishment, oxygenating time-based projects through dynamic collaborations with different creatives in their network."

The pieces on display at the exhibit were truly amazing! The way in which different blazers and jackets were cut and put together to form one piece. I particularly like Lamberts way of thinking, no garment should go to waste! If the arms of a jacket were used for one piece then the body of that same jacket will be used elsewhere for example to make a waistcoat.

I was lucky enough to meet Sam Lambert who is an incredibly inspirational and humble individual.
